This rejuvenating class promises to bring a sense of peace and vitality to body and mind. Yogis of all ages and abilities are warmly welcomed.

Hatha Style
The word Hatha is a compound of the words Ha and Tha meaning sun and moon. Thus Hatha yoga primarily strives to balance mind and body through physical postures (asanas), alignment, controlled breathing, and calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation. Traditional Hatha teaches poise, alignment, balance and strength in order to improve the body’s physical health and to clear the mind in preparation for meditation. In a Hatha class students explore a well balanced sequence of chanting, forward folds, back bends, twists, inversions, and meditation.

The HOT 60
Join us for 60 minutes of a true all-level hot yoga class. This is a heart-centered, Vinyasa-style class that focuses on proper alignment, and movement with the breath. The heat allows the muscles to warm up quickly, helps the body to remove toxins through perspiration, and permits a deeper asana. The room is heated to about 85 degrees, so bring a towel and lots of water!

Meditation and Mantra
For those students who wish to deepen their practice. Class will focus on simple chants, their meanings and vibrational benefits. There would also be a meditative practice mixed throughout. Meditation allows for the vibrational effects of the chant to integrate into the body and mind.

Pose By Pose: An Educational Guide Through the Asanas
In this class we will dive deeply into a different pose every week, exploring the Sanskrit translation, proper alignment, counter poses, and mental and physical benefits. After a short lesson, we’ll weave it into a practice and come away with a better understanding and appreciation for the pose.

Prenatal YogaPrenatal Yoga
Pregnancy is an amazing, transformative experience, and the benefits of practicing Yoga during pregnancy are vast. In this class, mothers-to-be in any stage of pregnancy learn yoga postures and relaxation techniques to alleviate the common discomforts of pregnancy and prepare for childbirth. Release tension in the shoulders, lower back, and hips; ease anxiety and bring calm to the central nervous system through movement and breath work; and tone and strengthen the pelvic floor. New mothers are also encouraged to return to this class as a great way to transition back into a regular yoga practice after childbirth. This is a very gentle yoga class, and no prior yoga experience is needed.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is a gentle form of yoga that uses props to encourage a deep state of relaxation. By supporting various parts of your body with bolsters, blocks or blankets, you can fully surrender to the pose and relax every part of your body. Restorative yoga helps relieve the effects of chronic stress and move the spine in all directions to promote greater well-being. This class will incorporate slow moving asana flow with the major emphasis on restorative postures. Wearing an extra layer of clothing is recommended as it is not a vigorous class and the body temperature tends to drop as we hold each pose for several minutes. Props will be provided.

Sunrise
Wake up with the sun. Begin your day with intention and awaken your mind, body, and spirit with breath and asana. These are All Level classes and will involve a variety of yoga postures and sun salutations. Breath awareness and movement (vinyasa) will allow the student to connect with and deepen his or her own personal practice. PJ’s optional!

Therapeutic Slow Flow
This class format includes isometric engagement and anaerobic breathing. It is designed to enable safe, continuous challenge while improving range of motion, strength, balance, and flexibility. Key to this process is gradual sequencing that fuses core activation with external alignment. Learn how to balance your biochemistry, strengthen joints, decompress the spine, and cleanse the lymphs. Enjoy a centered, intense, and introspective exertion.

Vinyasa Style
Come explore the flow! Vinyasa classes focuses on integrating breath and movement, awareness and alignment, strength and flexibility. Linked to a dynamic flow, postures are connected through the breath for a transformative and balancing effect. Interweaving music, yogic philosophy, meditation, and breath work with invigorating yoga postures, these fun and comprehensive classes inspire students to experience yoga not only as a physical exercise, but as a lifestyle for body and mind integration.

Yin Yoga
Find balance with your body and mind by combining a liquid Vinyasa Flow with quiet, meditative Yin poses. Warm up your body with dynamic movement and then sink deeply into Yin stillness; long and passive holds to work on the deep connective tissues of the body – the tendons, ligaments and cartilage. It’s the perfect combination. You will leave class feeling refreshed and renewed.

Your Call Yoga
It’s YOUR class… learn what you want! Are you ever confused about what the instructor is saying in Yoga class? Would you like an Asana (yoga pose) or flow broken down to understand it better? Do you need a modification for your body type or an injury, but don’t have time in a regular yoga class to ask? Are you curious about other aspects of Yoga, besides physical practice? This is the place to ask and learn! Class will start with a discussion of what you want to learn in the class. It can be anything yoga! Each class will be individually tailored to the students who come to class and what they want to learn that day. Even if you don’t have any questions, you’re bound to learn from what others want to learn, and Elizabeth will have lots of yogic ideas to share too!
