Karma yoga, or the "discipline of action"
is based on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Sanskrit
scripture of Hinduism. One of the four pillars of yoga, Karma yoga
focuses on the adherence to duty (dharma) while remaining detached
from the reward. It states that one can attain Moksha (liberation)
or love of the divine (bhakti) by performing their duties in an
unselfish manner for the pleasure of the Supreme. Karma Yoga is
an intrinsic part of many derivative types of yoga.
At Shakti Yoga, the primary goal is to attain peace
and healing within the community. We are guided by the spiritual discipline
of Yoga as inspired by several paths and teachers. We provide a supportive
environment for all who share these aspirations. We accept those who
share the common goal of peace and who want to offer their skills,
time and experience to support the work of the center, which is based
on the ideal of karma yoga or selfless service.
SERVICE - Using one's gifts and efforts to do the day-to-day
work of maintaining and operating the Center.
SELF-AWARENESS - Developed through the practices of
asana (postures), meditation, and the study of yoga philosophy.
Through this process, you have the opportunity to learn and develop
peace of mind, which infiltrates everyday life.

web support, office and retail support.
